Visual inspection first. Electrical tests on a calibrated PAT where appropriate. Durable pass tags show test date and retest date. Failed items receive an out-of-service tag and are isolated from use.
Outcomes are recorded — item identity, result, dates — so you have an audit-ready register. Fail lists with location notes go to your site contact the same program cycle.
Next-due dates drive retest reminders before intervals slip. Intervals follow AS/NZS 3760 Table 2.4 guidance and applicable state regulations — not a single invented national mandate.
Failed equipment is tagged out of service and your site contact is notified. Repairs that constitute electrical work sit with appropriately licensed workers — we do not blur that line.
On-site testing is only part of the job. Multi-site scheduling, access windows, consistent report format and retest discipline are what maintenance portfolios actually purchase.
